Man on the run after stealing car with 2 kids inside near Thunder Valley, officials say

A man is on the run Monday night after stealing a car with two small children inside near Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

The car was found abandoned nearly an eighth of a mile away from where it was stolen and both children were found inside unharmed, according to a news release. The man is believed to be on foot near Athens Boulevard and Industrial Avenue.

He is described as an adult male with blond hair and a short goatee, wearing blue jeans and a blue sweatshirt with a red collar. No other details were released.
