North Carolina teen faces felony charges after bomb threat at Shasta County Walmart
A 14-year-old from North Carolina is facing felony charges after calling in a bomb threat against a Walmart in Shasta County in November, according to the Anderson Police Department.
The Walmart in Anderson was one of over 20 Walmarts across the country to have been called by a blocked phone number on Nov. 16, according to the release. Only the store in Anderson reported a bomb threat when the calls were made.
The store was evacuated and checked for potential bombs. Store management estimated a loss of $19,000 in sales and employee wages because of the threat.
