A fire at the KCRA 3 television station early Sunday morning forced staff evacuations.

Sacramento Fire Department spokesman Keith Wade said no injuries occurred after a two-alarm fire started between the first and second floor of a building at the station just after midnight.

The extent of the damages was unknown as of Sunday morning, Wade said, but smoke and water damage were reported.

Wade said it is yet unclear what impact, if any, there is on operations at the Sacramento NBC affiliate’s headquarters.

An investigator has been assigned to determine the cause of the fire, Wade said.
