Man shot in Placerville after two armed intruders enter home, police say
A man was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound following an incident with two armed intruders Thursday night in Placerville, according to the Placerville Police Department.
Two men wearing ski masks knocked on the door of a residence in the 700 block of Spring Street around 11 p.m., according to a news release.
When the men forced their way inside, one of the residents attempted to flee through a window. The intruders followed him and shot at him twice.
The intruders fled in an unknown direction.
Both suspects are described as 5-feet, 8 to 9-inches tall with a skinny build, dark colored hoodies, flannel shirts, blue jeans and a black or blue ski mask. One of the men had a handgun. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Luke Gadow at (530) 642-5210 ext. 116.
