Galt man arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after threatening man with gun
A Galt man was arrested after officers say he threatened another man with a gun during an argument on Friday night, according to the Galt Police Department.
Corey Akers, 29, got into an altercation with another man in a residence near Spring Street in Galt around 6:42 p.m. Friday, according to the release. During the altercation, he picked up a pistol and pointed it at the man.
Officers were called and found the gun after searching the house. Akers was arrested and taken to the Sacramento County Main Jail.
He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and is being held on $75,000 bail.
