Two wanted for stealing over $19,000 in medicine from Yuba City store, authorities say

Two theft suspects are on the run after stealing around $19,000 of prescription drugs from a Walgreens in Yuba City on Saturday, according to the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office

A 16-year-old boy and a 25-year-old man walked into the Walgreens on Lincoln Road in Yuba City around 6 p.m. Saturday night, jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded the employees open the safe, according to the release. They filled bags with bottles of medicine and fled the store.

The suspects are described as 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9 in height and weighing between 140 and 150 pounds. One was wearing a dark blue hoodie, gray sweatpants and dark-colored shoes. The other was wearing a light gray hoodie, frayed blue jeans and white shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sutter County sheriff’s detectives at 530-822-7307.
