Sacramento man struck and killed by car in Fair Oaks after being asked to leave bar
A Sacramento man believed to be drunk was killed after being struck by a car Friday night in Fair Oaks, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred on westbound Fair Oaks Boulevard near New York Avenue around 10:36 p.m. Friday night, according to the release. The 27-year-old man was lying down in the right lane when he was struck by a dark-colored sedan. The sedan did not stop and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man had been asked to leave the nearby Players Pub on Fair Oaks after acting “extremely intoxicated”, according to witnesses. Officers failed to locate the sedan and the collision is under investigation.
