Northbound lanes of Capital City Freeway reopen after CHP investigates shooting
All northbound lanes on the Capital City Freeway in Sacramento were shut down for more than three hours as law enforcement investigated a shooting in the area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The closure was first reported by Caltrans on Twitter at 7:58 p.m. Monday night. All traffic was diverted off at El Camino Avenue and the lanes were closed as officers investigated.
A tweet from CHP North Sacramento at 11:10 p.m. stated that all lanes had reopened.
