Pedestrian killed in south Sacramento Highway 99 crash identified by coroner
The victim in Thursday’s fatal truck vs. pedestrian crash on northbound Highway 99 in south Sacramento was identified Friday.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Chad Fournier, 39.
The California Highway Patrol previously said that a fuel truck hit a pedestrian near 47th Avenue around 7:15 p.m.
The Coroner’s Office classified the incident as an accident. The crash shut down two lanes of northbound traffic for several hours.
