Woman and boy shot Sunday night in Woodland. Suspect at large, police say

A woman and a boy were shot and injured Sunday night in Woodland, police said.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Walnut Street shortly before 10 p.m., Woodland Police Department spokesman Sgt. Dallas Hyde said in an emailed statement.

Arriving officers located a woman and a juvenile male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to Hyde. The victims were transported to UC Davis Medical Center, and their condition as of Monday morning was not known, Hyde said.

Police have not identified a suspect or potential motive for the shooting.
