Vandals damage trees in Rocklin park

More than a dozen trees were damaged at a Rocklin park, causing an estimated cost of damage of more than $1,000, Rocklin Police reports.

On Saturday morning, police reported extensive damage to at least 13 trees in Boulder Ridge Park. The damage appears to have been the overnight work of vandals, police said.

The trees’ trunks were bent or broken, and there were broken branches. The city’s public works crew attempted to save as many of the trees as possible.

The incident is under investigation. The Rocklin Police Department asks anyone with information to call its non-emergency phone number, (916) 625-5400.
