Woman arrested after stealing from apartment complex in Marysville

A woman was arrested for residential burglary at an apartment building in Marysville on Monday morning, according to the Marysville Police Department.

Melissa Hasting, 35, was seen by witnesses and video footage leaving the scene of a burglary at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Ramirez Street around 10:27 a.m., according to the release. Hasting was later found and arrested at a different apartment in the same complex.

A search warrant of her house revealed the stolen items as well as a Glock handgun and an AR-15, which she can’t legally own due to prior felony convictions. She was booked into the Yuba County Jail on charges of residential burglary and being a felon in possession of firearms.
