Roseville shooting leaves one in critical condition, shooter cooperative, police say

A Saturday night shooting in Roseville left one person in critical condition, police say.

In a news release, the Roseville Police Department said the shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Rudgwick Drive, which is a mostly residential area.

Responding officers arrived to find one person suffering gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The shooting was precipitated by an altercation between two people, and the shooter remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.

Police described the shooting as being complex and said officers are still trying to determine the exact circumstances surrounding it.

“The investigation is still fluid and will take time to piece together what occurred,” the department said in its news release.

As of Sunday afternoon, the victim remains in critical condition. Officers will be at the scene of the shooting throughout the afternoon.

Although police are warning residents to stay away from the area, they do not believe there are outstanding suspects or a threat to the general community.
