She told Paradise police that her husband assaulted her. Then they checked the video
The Paradise Police Department arrested a woman Friday on suspicion of domestic abuse who had initially told officers her husband had abused her.
In a news release, the Paradise Police Officers Association said that Katy Philippe, 35, was taken into custody after she alleged that her husband had physically assaulted her and his daughter.
Officers responded to the 6300 block of Berkshire Avenue, but after reviewing video surveillance footage, police determined that Phillipe had actually assaulted her husband and the child.
She was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence and for injuring a child, according to police.
The victims were not identified by police.
