Placerville man suspected of lewd acts with two underage girls arrested by police

Placerville police officers arrested a man Saturday on suspicion of molesting two underage girls.

In a news release, the Placerville Police Department said that Pablo Perez Balderas, 26, was taken into custody after someone who was legally required to report suspected abuse informed police that two teenagers had been victimized.

The reporting party told police that she had reason to believe that Balderas was responsible for the lewd acts, and police began investigating two separate incidents.

Police alleged that one 16-year-old girl was touched by Balderas last week, and a 15-year-old girl was touched on Thursday.

The police department said it would not be releasing details surrounding the incidents “due to the complexity of the case and the age of the victims.”

Balderas was arrested and booked into the El Dorado County jail on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a child and is being held on a $50,000 bail.
