19-year-old man and minor arrested after robbery at Roseville pharmacy, police say

Two people were arrested at gunpoint last week on suspicion of robbing a Roseville pharmacy, the Roseville Police Department said in a social media post.

Officers responded to a pharmacy in the 3900 block of Foothills Boulevard at 6:30 p.m. Friday after receiving reports of a robbery in progress, the department said. The 911 caller reported two suspects wearing masks had jumped over the counter and were demanding drugs.

Police arrived three minutes after receiving the call and surrounded the store.

“As the suspects were fleeing out the front door, they were met by officers who took them in to custody at gunpoint,” police said.

The suspects – identified as Chris Cavanaoga, 19, of Roseville and a minor from North Highlands – were arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime.

“There was no stolen property recovered from the suspects, but one of the suspects did have a large amount of cash on their person,” said Rob Baquera, spokesman for the department.
