Woodland police officers stop late-night burglary at car wash, arrest two
Officers in Woodland stopped a burglary in progress Thursday night at a car wash undergoing renovations.
In a news release, the Woodland Police Department said officers received notice of a tripped burglary alarm at the Sundance Car Wash on Pioneer Avenue around 11 p.m.
Video surveillance at the car wash caught two intruders on camera, one on the roof and the other inside.
Officers arrived at the car wash and surrounded the building in an attempt to make contact with the suspects. One was found in the back and the other was found out front.
Li Ming, 55, of West Sacramento was uncooperative with officers and was subsequently arrested for obstruction.
Anthony Winger, 33, was arrested and later booked into the Yolo County jail on suspicion of burglary.
Police believe Winger cut camera cables and ransacked the car wash as he searched for items to steal. A backpack and wire cutters were found on the roof of the building.
