Two people injured in Foothill Farms shooting, Sacramento County deputies say

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Foothills Farms that injured two people Sunday.

Deputies arrived at the scene of the shooting on the 4300 block of Calcutta Way just after 11 a.m., Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Sgt. Tess Deterding said.

Two unidentified victims were found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds and were taken to nearby hospitals, according to a notification sent out by the Sheriff’s Office via social media.

The current condition of the victims is unknown, Deterding said.

Deputies warned residents to stay out of the area.

Deterding said the investigation is still under way and no further information is available.
