Fight with man wielding medieval weapon leads to arrest in Stockton, deputies say

A man was arrested Wednesday evening after authorities spotted him wielding a mace during an altercation, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say that the altercation took place on Waterloo Road in Stockton, where Daniel Gonzales, 27, was seen brandishing the medieval weapon.

According to a news release, Gonzales was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and for being in possession of a concealed deadly weapon after police discovered a switchblade during a search.

The victim was uninjured, deputies say.
