Police detain juvenile after man is injured in early morning Woodland shooting
Woodland Police Department officers have detained a minor in connection to an early morning shooting Tuesday.
Officials asked residents to avoid the 100 block of California Street in a Facebook post Tuesday morning as police officers investigated the scene of the shooting.
A man was wounded during the shooting, and was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the department.
The Daily Democrat reported a shooting occurred over the weekend in Woodland as well, though it’s unclear if the two incidents are related.
Police found evidence of a shooting Sunday near Third and North streets — including a car struck by a bullet — but there were no reports of injuries, the Democrat reported.
