Over 2,000 marijuana plants and $23,000 seized from West Sacramento homes, police say
A West Sacramento police unit has seized more than 2,000 marijuana plants and $23,000 in cash after a month-long investigation into illegal pot cultivation.
Three homes within a one-block radius were served search warrants on Wednesday morning, according to a statement from the West Sacramento Police Department.
The suspects bought the homes in West Sacramento and residents of the neighborhood reported a smell of marijuana coming from the residences, police said.
The suspects, whose names are being withheld pending review of the case by the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office, are not residents of the city.
