Man found dead after stabbing by river near Railyards, Sacramento police say
A man was found stabbed to death along the river near Railyards Boulevard and Jibboom Street on Saturday morning, the Sacramento Police Department announced.
The victim, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead by Sacramento Fire Department personnel. Detectives believe the victim may have been homeless, a news release said.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators are currently investigating the homicide. As of Saturday, detectives do not have a suspect description to release and the motive is unknown. Detectives are conducting a canvass of the area for witnesses and evidence, the department said.
