Yuba City man convicted of several counts in sex assaults of children, awaits sentencing
A 46-year-old Yuba City man is awaiting sentencing after being convicted of multiple felonies on Friday.
Buddie Raymond Minnick was found guilty of a lewd or lascivious act with a child under 14, sexual penetration of a victim under 14 and oral copulation with a child under 14. The man was arrested in June and convicted by jury trial in Sutter Superior Court.
Sutter County deputies in Sutter County had received reports of a sexual assault on May 29, and linked Minnick to the crime. Deputies at the time said Minnick had cooperated with the Sheriff’s Office.
Minnick, who has been in custody since June, will be sentenced Oct. 23.
