Sacramento police arrested a man Tuesday night in connection with a carjacking in the Pocket area.
A man was confronted by two people as he was walking in the area of Rush River and Windbridge drives about 10:15 p.m., according to a police activity log. The two strangers had a brief conversation with the man before he was threatened with a knife.
The men demanded his car keys and then fled in his vehicle. Officers later spotted the stolen car pulling into a driveway in the 7900 block of 36th Avenue, near the intersection of Fruitridge and Power Inn roads.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle by that time, was arrested on suspicion of carjacking and false imprisonment. He was identified by police as 24-year-old Alejandro Islas.
