Coroner’s Office identifies woman killed in Roseville Road crash

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman who died in a collision Sunday in the Foothill Farms area as Jamie M. Carr, 36, of Sacramento.

The crash occurred about 4:20 p.m. on Roseville Road, north of Diablo Drive. Carr was a passenger in a 2003 Chevrolet Venture driven by Jesse James Huckabay, 24, of Sacramento.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Huckabay was southbound on Roseville Road when he made a left turn directly in front of a northbound Hummer H2, driven by 43-year-old Tin Nhat Quang Le of Sacramento. The front of Le’s vehicle collided with the right side of Huckabay’s vehicle, causing the airbags in Huckabay’s vehicle to deploy, according to a CHP news release.

Carr, a front-seat passenger in Huckabay’s vehicle, was taken to Mercy San Juan Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.

Three passengers were in Le’s vehicle. The left rear passenger suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the collision, according to the CHP.
