The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man struck and killed by a car at a gas station earlier in the week.
Coroner’s deputies identified him as Xin Zhou, 78, of Sacramento.
Sacramento police said a driver in her 80s lost control of the vehicle about 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at the gas station in the 5600 block of Freeport Boulevard, hitting Zhou and another pedestrian, police said.
Zhou was pronounced dead at the hospital about a half-hour later.
The other person hit, a woman in her early 50s, was treated for minor injuries at a hospital.
No arrest was made immediately after the crash.
