One person killed in crash on Highway 160 near Isleton, fire district says

One person was killed in a crash Saturday evening on Highway 160 near Isleton, according to the River Delta Fire District.

Fire personnel and CHP officers responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 15175 Highway 160 just before 6:15 p.m.

The vehicles showed major damage, and firefighters needed to extricate a person from the wreckage of the crash.

Photos posted to social media by the River Delta Fire District show a dump truck with damage to its front end and a red sedan badly warped and twisted by the impact to its right side.

Photos also show firefighters working with clamps and other tools to pry open the red vehicle.

One person was treated at the scene with minor injuries and one died at the scene, according to fire officials.
