Woman shot, injured near Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, police say
A woman was shot and injured Thursday morning in Sacramento’s Valley Hi/North Laguna neighborhood, authorities said.
Police responded around 6:30 a.m. to reports of a shooting in the 7400 block of West Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento Police Department spokesman Officer Ryan Woo said. The area is a small shopping center across Bruceville Road from Cosumnes River College.
The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital, Woo said.
No suspect information was available, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
Woo said investigators are no longer at the scene.
