I-80 shooting, assault suspect wanted after crash outside Davis, CHP says
The California Highway Patrol is investigating an assault and shooting following a weekend crash on Interstate 80, just west of Davis.
Officers responded to a reported hit-and-run crash on eastbound I-80 near Highway 113 around 6:45 p.m. Saturday, the CHP’s Solano office said in a news release.
“During the investigation, officers discovered a shooting and subsequent physical altercation occurred between the involved parties following the crash,” authorities wrote.
No one was hit by gunfire, the CHP said, but one victim suffered moderate injuries in the physical fight.
The suspect involved in the shooting and assault fled the scene in a white Toyota Camry and remains outstanding, according to the news release.
