2 people shot and injured in Elk Grove neighborhood, police say
Two people were hospitalized after a shooting Sunday evening in Elk Grove, police said.
Authorities responded to the area of Heathermist and Fallbright ways, the Elk Grove Police Department said on Twitter around 8:45 p.m.
“This is an isolated incident,” the department posted. “Two people were shot and transported to a local hospital.”
The shooting happened in a residential area just south of Sheldon Road near Elk Grove Florin Road.
