A homeless suspect was arrested over the weekend after allegedly pushing and punching a woman at McKinley Park in East Sacramento in front of the victim’s children, police said.

The victim was leaving the park around noon Saturday with her two young children and was buckling them into her vehicle when the attack happened, Sacramento Police Department spokesman Officer Ryan Woo said.

“The suspect pushed the victim and punched her several times in her head and face,” Woo said. “The attack was unprovoked, and the victim had never seen the suspect before.”

The victim didn’t suffer any significant injuries, Woo said.

Responding officers located and arrested the suspect, identified as Christian Glazier, 24. Woo in an emailed statement described Glazer as “a person who appeared to be experiencing homelessness.”

Police arrested Glazier on suspicion of felony assault, Woo said.

Glazier was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail with bail set at $100,000, jail records show, and is due for an initial court appearance on Tuesday.
