Man killed in shooting at shopping center in Arden Arcade, Sacramento deputies say
A man was killed in a shooting Monday morning in front of a business at a small shopping center in Arden Arcade, sheriff’s officials said.
The shooting was reported about 9:15 a.m. in the 2400 block of Marconi Avenue, just east of Wright Street. The man had been shot in front of one of the businesses, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office announced in a news release.
Sheriff’s officials did not say in front of which business at the shopping center the shooting occurred. The center has a Metro T-Mobile store, a Little Caesar’s Pizza, Sunshine Donuts shop and a liquor store.
Deputies arrived and found the injured man suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his upper body, sheriff’s officials said. Medics arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators interviewed witnesses and gathered evidence. The Sheriff’s Office did not release any further details.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the man killed after his family has been notified.
