West Sacramento police arrest woman after shooting sends Rancho Cordova man to hospital
Police arrested a Sacramento woman following a shooting late Saturday in West Sacramento that left a man badly wounded.
The shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. on the 1000 block of West Capital Avenue. Officers found a 32-year-old man from Rancho Cordova with a bullet wound to the chest, police said.
Officers arrested Leaetta Montgomery, 51, of Sacramento in connection with the shooting, police said.
The man, whom police did not identify, remains at a local hospital in critical condition after he underwent surgery, police said Sunday.
