A Marysville woman was arrested Thursday afternoon, accused of running over the same pedestrian twice in a supermarket parking lot while drunk and with three children in her vehicle, police said.

Officers responded to a Save Mart parking lot just after 3 p.m., where witnesses said a woman “backed her vehicle into an adult pedestrian” and then “pulled forward and ran over his legs,” the Marysville Police Department said in a news release.

The driver, identified as 36-year-old Heather Marie Wood, was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol, at twice the legal limit, police said.

“Additionally, Wood had three children under 15 years old in her vehicle,” police wrote.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital for treatment, the Police Department said. His condition is not known.

Wood was arrested and booked into the Yuba County jail on charges of DUI causing injury and child endangerment. Her bail is set at $150,000, jail booking records show.

The three children in Wood’s vehicle, uninjured, were released to a parent, Marysville police said.
