The Sacramento Bee’s newsroom and offices were burglarized early Tuesday morning.

At least two people broke into the building and stole items worth several thousand dollars, including computers, security footage showed.

Newsroom personnel are continuing to assess the full costs associated with the theft, as well as building security measures.

The break-in and theft have been reported to the Sacramento Police Department.

The Bee and corporate headquarters for McClatchy are located at the Cannery business park on Alhambra Boulevard. The Bee moved there last year after the newspaper departed its longtime location at 21st and Q streets in midtown.
