Man who allegedly sought sexual rendezvous with teen arrested in Auburn
A Fair Oaks man was arrested today after he went Auburn allegedly expecting a sexual rendezvous with a 13-year-old girl but was met instead by Placer County sheriff’s detectives.
Timothy Robert Nosal, 48, originally attracted the attention of detectives with an online ad. A detective corresponded with Nosal for several weeks, posing as a 13-year-old girl. Today, Nosal drove from his job in Rancho Cordova for a planned meeting with the “girl” at Ashford Park in Auburn, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. Instead, he was arrested.
Nosal, who sheriff’s officials said works as an environmental scientist, was booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of communicating with a minor with the intent to commit a sexual act and attempted lewd and lascivious acts with someone younger than 14. His bail was set at $100,000.
