Two people shot and killed in Natomas Crossing; investigation still in ‘early stages’
Two men were shot and killed early Sunday in the Natomas Crossing neighborhood, Sacramento police reported.
Officers responded about 3:25 a.m. to a call in the 2500 block of Amelia Earhart Avenue. The men were both found to have suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds and were later pronounced dead at the scene by Sacramento Fire Department personnel.
“This investigation remains in its early stages but at this time it is believed to be an isolated incident,” police said in a news release. “There is no suspect information to provide at this time.”
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the names of those who died once family members are notified.
