Fire damages two south Sacramento homes;

Two homes were damaged Wednesday afternoon in south Sacramento after a two-alarm shed fire spread to the houses, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.

Fire crews arrived to find flames already coming through the roof of one home in the 7400 block of Alma Vista Way, said Roberto Padilla, department spokesman.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries after tripping and falling, Padilla said, but no one was seriously injured.

Both of the homes sustained roof damage and one of the houses can no longer be occupied, Padilla said.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, Padilla said.
