Man and woman shot inside car in Sacramento’s Arden Arcade area, taken to hospital
Two people were shot while sitting in a car Wednesday evening in Sacramento County’s Arden Arcade neighborhood, sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies responded around 7:45 p.m. for reports of a shooting on Darwin Street, near El Camino and Howe avenues, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Rodney Grassmann said.
The two victims, a man and a woman, were taken to hospitals where they are “stable” and expected to survive, according to Grassmann.
“This is not a random shooting,” Grassmann said, but he could not immediately provide further details on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
No suspect is in custody, Grassmann said, and no suspect description was given as deputies continue to investigate.
