Sacramento Kings broadcaster Kayte Christensen was released from the Sacramento County Jail Tuesday after being arrested for driving under the influence Monday.
She had a blood alcohol level of 0.08 when she was arrested Monday, according to online arrest logs. Jail records indicate she was released Tuesday. Further information about her arrest were not immediately known.
Christensen, 33, played basketball professionally in the WNBA before beginning a career as a sideline reporter, her role with the local NBA broadcasts.
“I want to be forthcoming because I deeply regret the choices I made last night. First, I want to apologize to my family because they know this is not behavior that is indicative of my character. I also am sincerely sorry to the Sacramento Kings organization and all our fans who put faith and confidence in me,” she said in a statement release by the Kings.

She also said she takes full responsibility for her actions and that she looks forward to winning back the trust of the public and young fans.
