One killed, two are injured after Sunday morning crash in south Sacramento

Two vehicles collided early Sunday in south Sacramento, leaving one person dead and two others hurt, the Sacramento Fire Department reported.

The crash occurred about 6:42 a.m. at Florin-Perkins and Elder Creek roads, according to the Fire Department.

Capt. Keith Wade, Sacramento Fire Department public information officer, told The Sacramento Bee that one person died at the scene.

Two others were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, he said.

Police detectives are investigating.
