Rocklin police have arrested a Sacramento man suspected in an April hit-and-run near a city intersection that seriously injured a bicyclist.

Police on Tuesday took Keyvan Madani, 52, into custody on suspicion of hit and run resulting in injury. Madani is now being held at Placer County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail where he awaits a Placer Superior Court date, according to jail booking records.

The collision happened about 10:18 p.m., April 8, near Rocklin Road and Pacific Street, Rocklin police said. The cyclist was taken to a hospital.

The driver had eluded authorities, but police major accident investigators tracked down witnesses and ultimately identified the vehicle. Madani was arrested without incident.
