Elverta man arrested in connection with series of Roseville burglaries

Roseville police have arrested an Elverta man in connection with several burglaries, and neighboring law enforcement agencies are investigating possible links to crimes in their jurisdictions.

Dylan Thomas Kunin, 29, was taken into custody at a Sacramento County court Monday, according to a Roseville Police Department news release. The following day, police said, two alleged associates were arrested in connection with separate crimes.

In early December, Roseville police investigated the burglary of a motorcycle dealership in which a red BMW sport-utility vehicle was seen on video surveillance. As they looked into other cases and shared information with neighboring agencies, officers discovered that a red BMW SUV had been used in several commercial and residential burglaries and other property crimes in the region.

They identified Kunin as the suspect, and on Monday they arrested him in connection with:

▪ The burglary of a motorcycle service shop in Roseville in September.

▪ The burglary of a motorcycle dealership in Roseville in December.

▪ The burglary of a car at a Foothills Boulevard fitness center in December, followed by the fraudulent use of the victim’s stolen credit cards.

▪ The theft of two high-end bicycles from a parking lot in the 6800 block of Douglas Boulevard in February.

Kunin was booked on suspicion of burglary, credit card fraud, grand theft and conspiracy. He is being held in Placer County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Neighboring law enforcement agencies also are investigating Kunin in connection with other burglaries and property crimes.

After Kunin’s arrest Monday, Roseville detectives found out that Kunin rode to his Sacramento County court appearance on a stolen motorcycle. On Tuesday, they conducted a probation search of Kunin’s associate’s home in Rio Linda and found the motorcycle, which had been stolen a few days earlier in San Jose. They also found a trailer that had been stolen from East Sacramento in 2013, drugs and a handgun.

The resident of the home, Aaron Michael Gamboa, 38, was arrested on suspicion of possession a stolen vehicle, being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and probation violation. Beverly June Cramblit, 32, of Rio Linda was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and possessing methamphetamine.

Gamboa and Cramblit were booked into Sacramento County jail.
