Shooting near Capital City Freeway in midtown Sacramento sends one person to hospital
Sacramento police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting near the Capital City Freeway in midtown that sent one person to the hospital.
In a brief written statement, police said the shooting happened around 12:50 a.m. near E and 29th streets in the Marshall School neighborhood. One gunshot victim was taken to a hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries,” police said. Police didn’t provide the victim’s age or gender.
“The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival and was not located,” the statement said. “The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.”
