One person sent to hospital after assault at Roseville waterpark

One person was sent to the hospital after being injured in an assault at the Golfland Sunsplash waterpark in Roseville on Saturday night, police said.

At around 7 p.m., police responded to reports of an assault at the park on Taylor Road. The hospitalized individual had injuries that were not life-threatening but “consistent with an assault,” according to a post from the police.

Roseville police did not believe a gun was involved in the incident, the update read, which was published at 8:24 p.m. Saturday.

The water park opened for the season Memorial Day weekend.

No other details about the weekend assault, including a suspect and their motives, have been released.
