Victim’s roommate arrested on murder charges after ‘suspicious’ death in Roseville home
Roseville Police have taken a man into custody in connection with a suspicious death that occurred on Wednesday in a home he shared with the victim.
Ryan Bacon, 34, was arrested on Thursday and booked into the South Placer Jail on murder charges. Bacon and the victim lived together in the Loretto Drive home, the Roseville Police Department said in a news release.
Just after noon on Wednesday, Roseville Police and Fire responded to a report of a man down inside a house on the 400 block of Loretto Drive. First responders conducted lifesaving measures but the man was ultimately pronounced deceased.
The circumstances that led to the victim’s death remain under investigation, and authorities are not yet publicly releasing a cause of death. The incident was first treated as a suspicious death, but now will be investigated as a homicide.
