Suspect arrested after man was stabbed to death near McClellan airfield in North Highlands
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing Wednesday afternoon in North Highlands.
At 5:22 p.m., deputies and Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District personnel responded to Bailey Loop, a side street in McClellan Park near the airfield, after receiving a report of an unconscious man with stab wounds.
The victim, 42-year-old Sidney Vincent Arbour IV, was pronounced dead at the scene with at least one stab wound, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Cory Lance Sheline, a 41-year-old resident of Placer County, on suspicion of the stabbing. He faces a charge of homicide and is being held without bail at the Sacramento County Main Jail.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said.
