Vandals strike again in Citrus Heights. Police say noodle house has $18,000 in damages
A Citrus Heights noodle restaurant was vandalized last week, marking the second incidence of restaurant vandalism that the area has seen in about a month.
Approximately 10 windows were broken at Fukumi Ramen on the 5400 block of Sunrise Boulevard, Citrus Heights Police Department spokesman Lt. Jason Baldwin said. He estimated that the vandalism amounted to around $18,000 in property damages.
The damage was reported last week, but police have yet to determine the exact time the incident occurred. Baldwin said the vandal could have struck any time between 11:30 p.m. on June 8 and 7:30 a.m. on June 9.
Baldwin declined to comment on whether Citrus Heights detectives believe this incident to be connected to the vandalism of Mountain Mike’s Pizza in Citrus Heights, where several windows were smashed on May 8.
The investigations in both cases are ongoing, Baldwin said, and no suspect has been named in either incident.
