Sacramento men seen taking $3,000 worth of plywood from job site arrested in Lincoln

Three Sacramento men were arrested Saturday in Lincoln on suspicion of stealing nearly $3,000 worth of plywood while disguised as construction workers.

A citizen had observed the men loading the plywood from a construction site near Nisenan Valley Drive into two pickup trucks at 5:44 a.m., according to the Lincoln Police Department. Officers conducted traffic stops on the two vehicles.

The suspects identified were Omar Alejo, 38; Oscar Guillen, 35; and Jose Loya-Carlon, 35.

The three men were booked into the South Placer Jail for on charges including grand theft and conspiracy to commit a felony crime. Alejo was also booked on suspicion of providing false information to officers. Alejo and Loya-Carlon also face charges for possession of a controlled substance.

Officers returned the stolen 74 sheets of plywood to the construction site.
