Pedestrian killed in Carmichael hit-and-run, suspect loose
A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Carmichael on Monday night.
At 9:13 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Fair Oaks Boulevard and El Camino Avenue.
The pedestrian, only identified as a male adult, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to CHP North Sacramento spokesman Officer A.J. McTaggart, little is known about the vehicle that hit the man, other than that it was traveling northbound on Fair Oaks Boulevard.
The incident remains under investigation.
